VLADIMIR KLEIN, Czechia
Born in Komarne, Slovakia in 1950. Studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague under Stanislav Libenskỳ. He taught and managed a glassmaking school in Kamenický Šenov and served as a visiting professor at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. In 2006 – 2010 taught in IKA Mechelen, Belgium, Bild-werk Frauenau, Germany, Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey. Vladimir Klein was a designer for Bohemia Crystalex Trading in the Czech Republic for nine years. He has received many awards for his glass sculptures in the USA, Japan, the Czech Republic and Germany. Artist’s works are exhibited in public collections around the word. He has also presented solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Japan.
